An acceleration test at the pallet level imparts inertial forces for a minimum duration of 0.3 seconds. A shorter duration of inertial forces carries the risk of not inducing a maximum consistent deformation in the deformable unit. To incorporate dynamic effects into the test, acceleration should be applied within the 0.05-second interval (dynamic approach in accordance with EUMOS 40509).
